Back After a 3-Year Hiatus!

I’m back! Let me reintroduce myself.

It’s been 3 years since I’ve posted on here, and so much has happened. But some things never change—like my love for Jesus, my family, and yes, New Jersey (still the best state in the union, I’ll brook no arguments).

About me: I’m Karina—an intercessor and pastor, among other things.

I’ve been married to Nelson for nearly 15 years. I’m Puerto Rican and Panamanian, he’s Indian, and together we are cultivating a home and a life that increasingly reflects the culture of God’s kingdom.

We are parents to Victorie, who is bright, sensitive and almost 10 years old now!

Prayer is my oxygen. I’m an intercessor through and through, with a deep burden for cities and nations. My heart is not just to pray, but to equip the saints to step into the place of intercession with authority and confidence.

I’m also a certified nerd. I LOVE the Bible and have been teaching it in different capacities for 25+ years. I have a Master’s degree in ministry leadership and love to make our church systems better to maximize impact.

Before motherhood, I taught high school French. I’ve also had stints as a journalist and a magazine writer.

Why I’m back: I’ve been busy building in other areas, and I’m not gonna lie, I’m still very busy! But I can’t shake the prompting of Holy Spirit to add my voice more regularly to issues that matter especially to Him and to the Church.

What to expect: Thoughts on current events and the Church at large, especially where it concerns Micah 6:8 imperatives – “love mercy, act justly, walk humbly before your God.”

If you’ve followed me before, you know I only write when Holy Spirit gives me something to say—not when the news cycle demands it. My primary response when controversy arises is to humble myself and seek heaven’s perspective. I don’t care about algorithms, I care about releasing what the Lord deposits in my belly.

I’ll also share personal stories and Bible studies from time to time as well.
